On March 14, 2017, Rosñosmos signed with Lebedev Physical Institute the additional agreement to the state contract to carry out further activities for the GAMMA-400 project in 2016-2021.
In Frascati, Italy on June15-17, 2016 the meeting of the Italian and Russian specialists was held, which dedicated to the PAMELA experiment and the GAMMA-400 project. Specialists from INFN, INAF, LPI, MEPhI, IKI took part in this meeting. It was discussed the current state of the GAMMA-400 project and further Russian-Italian cooperation.
In Moscow, at Space Research Institute on January 26-27 the 2nd China-Russia Joint Space Science Workshop was held. Within the framework of this workshop the joint Russian-Chinese cooperation in the GAMMA-400 and HERD projects were discussed.
In LPI, on September 24, LPI director Nikolay Kolachevsky and scientific leaders of LPI space projects held a meeting with the delegation of the Italian Space Agency (ASI) headed by the ASI President Professor R. Battiston. They discussed about the Russian-Italian projects PAMELA, GAMMA-400, and Millimetron. The Italian delegation confirmed the importance to continue joint activities in the framework of PAMELA and move to the next stage of cooperation in the new projects GAMMA-400 and Millimetron.

On September 25, head of Roscosmos space state corporation Igor Komarov and head of the Italian Space Agency (ASI) Roberto Battiston held an official meeting. Space science issues were discussed in a special section. The experts shared their opinions on the Millimetron and GAMMA-400 prospective projects.

In Barcelona University, Spain, the GAMMA-400 workshop was held. The representatives from Russia, Italy, and Spain were taken part in this workshop. The talks are presented at

In Dubna, Moscow region, JINR, 33rd Russian Cosmic-Ray Conference was held. Several talks and posters on the GAMMA-400 project were presented.
In Moscow, MSU, 40th COSPAR scientific assembly was held. Nine talks and posters on the GAMMA-400 project were presented.
In Italy, in Rome, in the Italian Space Agency, on July 23, the meeting was held between representatives of the Italian Space Agency (ASI), the Russian Space Agency (Roscosmos), the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN), and LPI dedicated to the conclusion of agreement between the agencies on the projects GAMMA-400 and Millimetron. The ASI President R. Battiston personally greeted and wished success to the participants of the meeting. As a result of the meeting, the protocol was signed, which indicates support from agencies of the GAMMA-400 project and the preparation for the signing in the nearest time the official agreements between agencies, as well as between INFN and LPI on the GAMMA-400 project.
In Moscow at LPI on June 16-18, the regular GAMMA-400 workshop was held. The specialists from Russia and Italy were taken part in this workshop. The status of designing GAMMA-400 detectors, the simulation results, and scientific issues were discussed.
Regular Italian-Russian GAMMA-400 workshop was held in Florence, Italy on November 14-16. The status of designing GAMMA-400 detectors, especially converter-tracker and calorimeter were discussed. Further steps in the implementation of joint plans were outlined.
In Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) on July 2-9, the 33rd International Cosmic-Ray Conference was held. Next reports were presented: N. Topchiev “The space-based gamma-ray telescope GAMMA-400 and its scientific goals” and A. Moiseev “Dark matter search perspectives with GAMMA-400”.
In the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP),Trieste, Italy, on May 2-4, the Workshop «Physics with GAMMA-400» was held. The specialists from Italy, Russia, France, Sweden, Spain, and Japan were taken part in this workshop. Following aspects were discussed: scientific problems of the GAMMA-400 experiment in the gamma-ray astronomy, studying electrons, positrons, nuclei of cosmic rays, the GAMMA-400 physical scheme, the status of the GAMMA-400 space and scientific complexes, as well as the GAMMA-400 detector systems, simulation results, plans of nearest works.
In Moscow at LPI, February26-28, the regular GAMMA-400 workshop was held. The specialists from Russia, Ukraine, Italy, and Sweden were taken part in this workshop. The status of designing GAMMA-400 detectors, the simulation results, and scientific issues were discussed.
The Government of the Russian Federation approved the Russian State Program "Space activities in Russia for 2013-2020". The Program defines the goals and objectives of the development of space activities and space industry until 2020. This includes the creation of three planned space-based observatories "Spectrum-UV", "Spectrum-M" ("Millimetron"), and "GAMMA-400" to study astrophysical objects in different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum and the high-energy gamma radiation.
In Moscow, in Space Research Institute on December 24-27, the conference “High-energy Astrophysics: today and tomorrow” was held. A.M. Galper presented the report “Status of the GAMMA-400 project”.
In the Russian Space Agency, on December 20, the Scientific and Technical Board on the GAMMA-400 project was held. It was noted that the GAMMA-400 project is of great interest in the scientific community, because designed gamma-ray telescope will have the improved parameters in comparison with the current space telescopes AGILE and Fermi. In general, the results of works were approved and it was recommended for further stage to realize the technical design. It is necessary to expand the Russian and international cooperation.
In Udine, Italy, on November 28-29, the regular GAMMA-400 workshop was held. The specialists from Italy and Russia were taken part in this workshop. The status of designing GAMMA-400 detectors, the simulation results, scientific issues, and plans for future works were discussed.
In Moscow, in National Research Nuclear University MEPhI on November 12-16, the International conference of the Division of Physical Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences was held. Next reports were presented: A.M. Galper “Search for hypothetical particles of dark matter”, N.P. Topchiev “Possibilities of the GAMMA-400 gamma-ray telescope to detect particles of dark matter”, and M.D. Kheymits “The method to detect gamma rays with the energy > 50 GeV by the space GAMMA-400 gamma-ray telescope”.
In Moscow, in Moscow State University on July 3-7, 23rd European Cosmic Ray Symposium (and 32nd Russian Cosmic Ray Conference) was held. The poster "Space Gamma-Ray Telescope GAMMA-400" was presented.
In Moscow at LPI, April 19-20, regular GAMMA-400 workshop was held. The specialists from Russia, Italy, and the United States were taken part in this workshop. The status of designing GAMMA-400 detectors, the simulation results, and scientific issues were discussed.

Regular Italian-Russian GAMMA-400 workshop was held in Florence, Italy on January 22-23. The status of designing GAMMA-400 detectors and the preliminary simulation results were discussed.
